With a Sungrow IDC30E charger in your order, here are the essential documents and the key installation requirements your electrician needs to be across.

Important Call-Outs for Your Electrician
-
AC Cable for Trolley Installations
If the charger is installed on a trolley, the electrician must supply and install the AC cable. The unit may be hardwired or connected using a suitable AS/NZS-compliant industrial socket, depending on site requirements.
To ensure correct installation, the AC cable should be:
- Sized to suit the site’s circuit rating and protection (per AS/NZS 3000/3008).
- Compatible with the IDC30E gland size (Multi-core: 18–25 mm OD, Single-core: ≤7.5mm per conductor).
- Tested and tagged to AS/NZS 3760 to maintain Sungrow warranty compliance.
-
Socket Rating for Full Output
To achieve the charger’s full power capability, Sungrow requires a 63 A 5-pin industrial socket. Lower-rated sockets (e.g., 32 A) may be used, but only with a derated Charger.
-
Power Constraints & Derating
If your site has limited electrical capacity, we recommend derating the Sungrow 30 kW unit to stay within your available supply limits. Please note that the Sungrow IDC30E does not currently integrate with JET Charge’s load management solution, so dynamic load balancing is not available.
-
Test & Tag Requirements
Any AC cable fitted to the IDC30E — whether hardwired or via industrial plug — must be tested and tagged to AS/NZS 3760 to maintain Sungrow warranty coverage.
-
Register your Warranty
Sungrow requires EV chargers to be registered online within 30 days of installation to confirm ownership and product details and to support any future warranty claims.
Please ensure the charger is registered as soon as possible after installation using the link below:

Using the Charger — Freevend Mode
These chargers have been pre-configured for freevend (free-to-use) operation:
- To start charging: Simply plug the connector into the vehicle — charging will begin automatically.
- To stop charging: Press the connector icon on the touchscreen and select the “Stop Charging” button located at the bottom of the screen.
- Note: RFID is the recommended authentication method and will always appear as a reminder on the screen, but it does not prevent plug-and-play charging — we’ve pre-configured this for you already.
-
AC Cable Selection & Installation
The electrician is responsible for selecting and installing the correct AC cable according to AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 3008. The X280 does not ship with an AC supply cable — this must be sourced and installed by the electrician to suit the site’s circuit rating, cable run length, and voltage drop requirements.
-
Weight & Handling
- 30kW: Approximately 71 kg. Wall mount or pedestal mount. Two-person lift is required.
- 60kW: Approximately 190 kg. Floor-mounted on a concrete slab. Requires a forklift or crane for handling.
Both models must not be tilted more than 6 degrees during transport. Always transport upright.
-
Power Constraints & Derating
If your site has limited electrical capacity, the X280 can be derated to stay within your available supply. Refer to the installation manual for your model for detailed derating instructions and calculations.
The X280 is compatible with CORE for load management. If this hasn’t already been configured for your site, reach out to JET Charge for guidance.
-
Connectivity
The X280 features 4G cellular and wired Ethernet connectivity (OCPP 1.6J). No Wi-Fi is available. A SIM card is not included and must be installed by the electrician if 4G is the chosen connectivity method. Ensure strong cellular reception at the installation site.
With an Autel MaxiCharger AC Wallbox in your order, here are the essential documents and the key installation requirements your electrician needs to be across.

-
Mounting
The Autel MaxiCharger AC Wallbox can be wall-mounted or pedestal-mounted where required. If a pedestal installation is needed, reach out to JET Charge for guidance. Follow the wall dock and mounting template included in the box. Refer to the installation manual for detailed mechanical installation steps.
-
Electrical Requirements
Installation must comply with AS/NZS 3000. The Autel MaxiCharger accepts both single-phase and three-phase wiring configurations. The electrician is responsible for selecting the correct wire size based on the environment, conductor type, and the rating of the charger.
Appropriate MCB and RCD protection is required upstream — refer to the wiring diagrams in the installation manual for your specific model (7.4 kW, 11 kW, or 22 kW).
-
Derating for Demonstration Use
Where Autel AC chargers are being used for demonstration purposes rather than full-time charging, they can be de-rated to 6 Amps via the Autel installer app and connected to a domestic socket.
Appropriate RCBO protection is still required. Refer to the installer app for configuration steps.
-
Connectivity
The Autel MaxiCharger supports Wi-Fi, Ethernet, 4G (SIM card), and Bluetooth connectivity. OCPP is supported for backend integration. Ensure a reliable internet connection is available at the installation site. Refer to the installation manual for Ethernet cable gland and SIM card installation instructions.
-
Autel Configuration App
In order to configure your Autel charger, you may need to:
- Apply for access to the app at least 1 week prior to installation.
- Download the Autel Configuration App.
